As you all know, April is a ‘No New Clothes’ month for me. You mean you didn’t know? Where’ve you been? If you follow me on social media, you will be all too aware that it’s kind of killing me. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have a wardrobe exploding with new clothes; I think it’s more to do with that age old problem – the minute you’re denied something, it’s all you can think about. Sound familiar? Anyway, where was I? As soon as the sun came out, my eyes were drawn to t-shirts. Right now, it’s all about the slogan t-shirt. They’re everywhere! The issue my friends, is that if you’re the wrong side of 40, slogans such as ‘Don’t text… View Post

Have you been enjoying the sunshine this week? I realised yesterday that we haven’t had any rain at all over the Easter holidays – I reckon that’s a first! The amazing temperatures at the weekend got me panicking thinking about our summer holiday which after much deliberation, I finally booked this week. I think we’ve made a good decision. Apologies for my absence from Little Loves last week but I ran out of time and felt that it would be a good opportunity to give my mind a little rest. But here I am back with a double whammy… Read I’ve actually really struggled with reading recently. I think it might have something to do with the fact that I have too many non-fiction books on the… View Post

April might be a self-declared ‘No New Clothes’ month but no one said anything about accessories now did they? So this month I will be having a little nosey around the internet (one of my favourite past-times) in search of a few gems that I will willingly share with you lovely lot. Bags, I’m obsessed with them. I have a bag for pretty much every occasion and each item of footwear in my possession. I think long and hard about what I need from said bag before purchasing, and usually invest in something that will last me a while. Right now? I have no summer bag and I’m starting to stress a little about it. I’m certain that the internet knows… View Post

Today I come bearing Spring flowers. Why? Because it’s almost the weekend and I’m jetting off to the Alps for a few days tomorrow. Yippee! I should really be getting my house in order and sorting out the washing but I’ve begun to relish this part of my week –  looking back and focussing on the good bits, however small or insignificant. So here I am with my Little Loves for this week… Read Having spotted it being aired on Sky TV last weekend, finishing Room became a matter of urgency. So much so that I read the latter half of the book in one afternoon. I don’t know about you, but I hate watching a film before I’ve read the book, preferring to use my imagination to visualise… View Post

I don’t know where this week has gone (mostly frittered away on the phone to Virgin mobile but hey, that’s a long and boring story that no one wants to hear!). I’ve been trying to get on top of my paperwork this week which hasn’t been hugely successful but I have at least applied for a new driver’s licence. Tell me why these need to be renewed every 10 years – surely I haven’t aged that much? I picked up the Invisalign moulds for my teeth yesterday. Apparently, in order for them to work, I’ve got to wear them for 22 hours out of 24 and nothing other than water should pass my lips whilst wearing them. I went into slight panic mode as… View Post
