Hello my lovelies, it’s the end of another glorious week of sunshine and if the weather forecasters are to be believed, we are all in for a wonderful weekend of wall to wall sunshine. I can hardly remember those awful grey, drizzly days that I was droning on about last week. It’s amazing how a bit of sunshine can spark the amnesia, isn’t it? How has your week been? By contrast to last week, I’ve spent far too much time indoors working (bar walking the dog and snapping the gorgeous sunny meadow scene above), when I should be outside enjoying the sunshine. We’ve also been preparing our garden for the chaos that will be descending next week – in the… View Post

Welcome back to my homes and interiors series where I’ll be introducing you to a different blogger and their home each month. I am a nosy creature and love nothing more than checking out someone’s home; I think it says so much about a person, don’t you? This month I would like to introduce you to Becky, from The Spirited Puddle Jumper. In her own words Becky is ‘a digital marketing bod, blogger and interiors and travel enthusiast, who strongly believes that you can never have enough coffee‘. We like her already! Becky has two children, 6 year old Freddie and 4 year old Sasha, with another little one due any day now. Let’s find out about their home… Where do you… View Post

As I write, the skies are grey, there’s a hint of rain in the air and I’m still contemplating my vote later on this afternoon. Never before have I researched so much before voting; never before have I been so undecided as to where I’ll be putting my cross. I know it’s a privilege to vote and I certainly wouldn’t insult the suffragettes by staying at home, but I really am feeling confused this time round. So there’s been a lot of election talk in our house this week. I’ve also been out more evenings than I’ve been in, so it’s been a busy one. As always, I’m here to share the lovely aspects… Read Despite being out a lot this week, I… View Post

After a whirlwind trip to Wales for 48 hours, only returning this evening (Thursday), I wasn’t expecting to write a Little Loves post this week but I just can’t stay away! I love storing up some of the best bits of my week in anticipation of sharing them with you; it really does give me a more positive outlook on life. Here goes… Read Okay so I read about 5 pages of ‘The Trouble with Goats and Sheep’ which I count as progress. I promise to actually have an opinion on it by this time next week! I’ve been blogging for a little over 5 years now. You might therefore be fooled into thinking that I know everything there is to know… View Post

Every five years, three girlfriends and I jet off for a long weekend, usually to a city in Europe, hopefully to a place that none of us have been to before. Ten years ago we set up a bank account, agreeing to deposit £15.00 each month, to ensure that this little adventure actually happens. You know how the intention is firmly there but the funds or time are not always willing? It’s worked out brilliantly so far, with enough money to afford us a good break in a nice hotel, all spending money included. Believe it or not, this time I actually came back with more money than I started! Five years ago it was Verona (a city that stole my heart); this year it was… View Post
