What’s the one thing you truly want at this time of year? A little peace and quiet? Enough money to buy all your loved ones the Christmas present they truly want? Right now, I would happily settle for one thing: a chance to relax. What is it about Christmas and the level of stress that seems to build up over the months of November and December?! Thanks to The Massage Company, I got the chance to do just that last week, in the peace and tranquility of their site in Camberley. Oh my goodness, it was the best one hour I have spent in a VERY long time. The Massage Company made me feel relaxed and comfortable from the moment I… View Post

I’ve got a spare hour and what better way to spend it, than reflecting on my week and pulling out the positives? I’ve been suffering from muscle spasms in my neck and shoulders this week. Whilst it’s not the end of the world, it has been a tad debilitating and I’ve spent a little bit of time feeling sorry for myself. BUT (there’s always a but) my lovely friend popped by with a beautiful scented candle and a heat patch for my neck on Wednesday morning, and on Monday I got to watch four back to back episodes of Gilmore Girls instead of going to work. You see, there is ALWAYS something to be thankful for! What else has happened in my world? On… View Post

Confession: I am a shopaholic. Anyone else? Don’t get me wrong, I never spend beyond my means and sometimes I don’t even buy anything at all (the simple act of window shopping is enough for me) but I just love the whole experience. If I am on a mission to purchase however, I will take ages over choosing the right thing, making sure I’ve covered all possibilities first. I had a new rug delivered just yesterday, thankfully I was really pleased with it – I had spent months agonising over the perfect monochrome/geometric combination that I was after! Now you understand why my husband refuses to come shopping with me any more *sigh*. My favourite kind of shopping is clothes shopping (or bags, or shoes…you get… View Post

Ah how I’ve missed my little corner of cyberspace over the last two weeks. I apologise for my absence but life kind of got in the way, you know how it is sometimes? But I’m back and have loads of posts I want to write; all currently filed somewhere in the back of my mind under ‘to be aired at a convenient moment’. Watch this space. So today’s ‘Little Loves’ post will be covering the last two weeks – a kind of double whammy if you like. I always love to reflect on my week so this time I get to do two of them and just pick the best bits to share with you all. Read I’ve become a real book worm… View Post

I was going to start by saying it’s been a nice week but in reality, it’s been raining quite a bit and the husband has had man flu (say no more). I’ve also done my back in, probably due to me forgetting an Osteopath appointment last Friday, but the less said about that the better. So why has it been ‘nice’? Time to share my #LittleLoves for this week… Read I’ve started a new book and have made time this week to read a little bit every night before going to sleep. ‘Try Not to Breathe’ is a debut novel by Holly Seddon and was lent to me by a friend. Right from the first page, I was hooked. If you enjoyed ‘The Girl on… View Post
