Blinkin’ love this jacket. I’ve owned it for a Blinkin’ love this jacket. I’ve owned it for at least 5 years and have had way more than the prized 30 wears out of it. I can only say that for a handful of clothes in my wardrobe right now (this striped t-shirt from @thisiswhistles is another one) but this is my goal going forward.

Today, me and this jacket of dreams, are heading to Milton Keynes to take our biggest girl out for a pub lunch, followed by a walk along the river. I can’t wait 👏🏻. What are you up to today?

If you need me, I’ll be here. With a dog glued t If you need me, I’ll be here. With a dog glued to my side. This daft dog does not know what’s good for her. The problem is, she just wants to be wherever I am...🤷🏻‍♀️. Do you keep your dogs inside on hot days? She tends to stare longingly through the window at me and I feel mean!

If you saw my stories last night, you’ll know th If you saw my stories last night, you’ll know that I was expecting the carpenter to arrive today to start demolishing our stairs/bannisters. He’s emailed me this morning to say that he now can’t come and will be starting tomorrow instead.

I’m trying SO hard to be gracious about it but am secretly really annoyed as I have cancelled plans and rearranged things today so that the house is free.

How do you react when plans go awry? My instinct is to think of all the ways that this has mucked up my day, whilst wallowing in my frustration. Then I saw this little quote by @livinglyfree that reminded me to ‘keep looking where the light is’. I certainly know where it isn’t! Onwards. Happy Thursday folks 💕.

I took this photograph a couple of weeks ago becau I took this photograph a couple of weeks ago because I spotted these flowers and appreciated their simplicity. I didn’t share the pic on here. Why? Probably something to do with me thinking it wasn’t good enough for the ‘gram.

Huh?

I fall in and out of this trap time and again on Instagram. I’m not a pro photographer, I’m not an influencer and I’m not a teenager. What I am, is a perfectionist who probably cares far too much about things that really shouldn’t matter.

So here you have it - some wild flowers that I’m posting simply because they caught my eye and I love them. Can we all just agree to care a little less? I would so love to see people for who they really are on here. A little less polished photographs, and a little more realness.

Some people who I think do this well include @mummytries @emma_cantrell @mummy_barrow @lifecanbetoff @my.style.story @brummymummyof2 (the list could go on). I’m not saying that I don’t like their photographs, but I am saying that I appreciate their realness. Who would you add?

Anyone else still knocking about in lounge wear mo Anyone else still knocking about in lounge wear most days? Accessorised with a smile of course - always important 😬.

I’ll be honest and say that this whole transition out of lockdown is a bit unsettling. There was something comforting about knowing no one else was doing anything either. Now I’m feeling like I should be but don’t really want to. Is this making any sense at all? Give me a 🙌🏻 if you can relate.

I guess we all need to just go at our own pace and not rush back into doing anything we don’t want to. I enjoyed the slower pace of life in lockdown and want to hang onto that for as long as possible. Let’s just say that having two things in my diary on one day is a step too far at the moment. #loungewearforlife #slowliving #lockdown2020
