Only a couple of weeks ago a friend told me she was feeling a bit blah; going through the motions of life if you will. She put it down to having nothing to look forward to. It can feel a bit like that when you return from your annual summer holiday can’t it? The holiday blues are most definitely a thing. Now that the barbecue has been put to bed, the evenings are drawing in and the sun tan lotion is firmly at the back of the cupboard, what is there to look forward to? What does autumn have that summer doesn’t? Autumn is actually one of my favourite seasons so already it’s off to a flying start. Having written… View Post

What a month June has been. I mean I’ve had to pinch myself on numerous occasions, is this really England and not the mediterranean? Our garden room really has come into its own this month, especially with the Word Cup being on. The space and big TV has made it a popular choice for 13 year old boys! I’ve also really enjoyed working outside, even though it’s very difficult to get motivated when the sun is shining. I am sincerely hoping that this weather lasts, at least until next Thursday which is prom day. Apologies for my absence from Little Loves last week but I ran out of time and felt that it would be a good opportunity to give my mind a little rest. But here I am back with a double whammy… Read I’ve actually really struggled with reading recently. I think it might have something to do with the fact that I have too many non-fiction books on the… View Post

All we needed was the excuse of a 50th birthday and one Gin Cocktail Masterclass plus Gin Tour, was booked. With three months to look forward to the event, Sunday 15th January couldn’t come soon enough. If ever there was a gin-lover’s paradise, I think the Bombay Sapphire Gin Distillery in Laverstoke (near Basingstoke) is it. Before registering we were greeted by this amazing building; if only it hadn’t been pouring down with rain! Not long in and our heads were quickly turned by the venue for our gin cocktail-making masterclass. A true vision in purple… We had booked the gin tour as well as the masterclass and I would highly recommend both. The girl running our masterclass was very knowledgable and… View Post
