I used to be a massive fan of home and interiors magazines. I would buy them simply to swoon over the pictures and gather ideas for my own home projects. These days I turn to social media for the swooning and last year I started my very own home series where I interview someone about their home and share some stunning pictures with you. Today I’m pleased to share the home of Jess Soothill. Jess’ home is a new build which lends itself so well to the fresh, contemporary look that I’m also a fan of. It’s a real blank canvas that Jess has personalised and made homely by adding fur throws, large leafy house plants and colourful prints – yes to… View Post

Leopard print or animal print has been around since the dawn of time (literally). After the cave man discarded it in favour of proper clothes, it seemed to disappear from the fashion scene for quite some time. I am reliably informed however, that the real out-there fashion icons would often be seen flashing a hint of animal print, even in the 1920s. Of course in the swinging 60s it came back with a vengeance and the high street was awash with it. March has been an odd one in many respects; we’ve seen snow, rain, sunshine and hail. We’ve been skiing, celebrated Mother’s Day (probably the less said about that the better *grits teeth*) and have endured two weeks of mock exams. I always look forward to the last Friday of the month because it’s my opportunity to share all of the lovely little things that have been happening over the last few weeks. So here are my ‘Little Loves’ for March… Read I have tried so hard to knuckle down with a new fiction read since finishing Eleanor Oliphant, but I’ve failed. I got so far with Matt Haig’s ‘Stopping Time’ but it probably didn’t stand a chance trying to follow such… View Post

All traces of snow are finally disappearing and the daffodils seem to be pleading “Is it time to come out yet?“. The answer to that question is a resounding ‘YES’! Winter it really is time to bid you farewell. At the end of every season I like to write a little catch up, looking back on what has been, whilst sharing some of the highlights. Hopefully it will inspire you to do some reflecting of your own. Inside If you’re new to my little space on the web, it’s probably best if I let you know now: I’m an over-thinker and an over-sharer. The double whammy! I am also passionate about making the very best of myself and life in general,… View Post

This month’s featured home is owned by Jenny from Let’s Talk Mommy. In case you haven’t already guessed by the spelling, Jenny originates from the good old U S of A. Jenny has the most exquisite styling and her home always looks immaculate. In fact her Instagram feed looks like something straight out of a Homes and Gardens magazine! If you love the crisp, clean, bright look of a new build with a little bit of shabby chic thrown is, this will no doubt be your favourite of all the homes I’ve featured so far. Let’s find out a little more about Jenny and take a nosey around her beautiful family home. Where is your home and who lives there?  I… View Post
