If you read Part 1 of my trip to New York last month, you will know that the first two days were pretty action packed. We had four days to see as much as possible and I was on a mission. Taking teenagers was a risk (anyone who has ever parented teenagers will know that they are on a go-slow much of the time) but I was pleasantly surprised by their enthusiasm to get up and out in the morning.* *I’m sure it had nothing to do with the amazing breakfast buffet including waffles and the crispiest bacon you ever did see. Day 3 in New York Having done most of the city’s major sights, we decided to spend our… View Post

There are so many things we can get drawn into nowadays isn’t there? In the world of blogging, this couldn’t be truer. I started my first blog six years ago and straight away, felt the need to have dedicated social media accounts. Everyone else seemed to be doing it, so surely that was the right way to go? At the time, Twitter and Facebook seemed to be where it was at and Pinterest was on the rise. You Tube was only really for the likes of Zoella and even though Instagram launched in 2010, it wasn’t on my radar until a few years later. Then as we all know, the brilliant Instagram Stories took over last year and now we… View Post

I seem to begin every monthly Little Loves post by talking about the weather but it would be rude to bypass this one – this summer is the gift that keeps on giving! I cannot believe how fortunate we have been with the sunshine and tropical temperatures. It also looks set to carry on into the first half of the summer holidays – double result! July has been a bit of a weird month for me; I’ve had too teenagers home from work/school for most of it which in some respects has been really nice but it has also meant I’ve been less free to do my own thing. Having no free time just pottering around the house leaves me… View Post

One of the many things I love about running a series on this blog, is introducing you all to new bloggers. Molly isn’t a new blogger at all, in fact in blogger terms she’s probably a veteran! Aside from being a blogger, Molly is a journalist and mum to two little girls. She lives with her family in south Devon in their beautiful home which has been a labour of love for the last five years; in fact I remember Molly announcing on social media that she was upping sticks and moving to the countryside. Shall we have a nosy around Molly’s home? Who lives in your home? Myself, my husband and my two daughters (Freya, 8 and Effie, 3)… View Post

A few months ago, I felt the need to re-evaluate the relationship I have with my phone. I had come across the book How to Break Up with your Phone a few times and thanks to Amazon Prime (what did we do before this little marvel?), the very next day I was clutching it in my sweaty palms. My motive wasn’t to ditch my phone altogether (I’m a blogger, come on) but to find a better balance. It had a hold on me that wasn’t healthy and as ‘finding balance‘ is my theme for 2018, it made sense to pursue that with regard to my phone usage too. What I’ve realised over the years of blogging, is that if I’m going… View Post
