At Home With…Morgana {Coffee, Work, Sleep, Repeat}

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]nother month, another home. I’ve been looking forward to this one for a while now, firstly because Morgana is the genius behind the weekly blog linky ‘Little Loves’ and writes one of my favourite blogs; secondly because she moved house only a couple of months ago. Who doesn’t get excited about looking round a new home?

Firstly let me introduce you to Morgana who lives in Lancashire with her husband and two headstrong (her word not mine!) daughters.

Running a small business herself (Little and Fierce which sells all kinds of kids’ accessories) Morgana is a massive advocate for small business owners and start ups. On her blog, you’ll find a link to her online shop as well as an introduction to lots of other entrepreneurs. Coffee, Work, Sleep, Repeat is one of my favourite ‘go tos’ for home and interiors inspiration. I think you’ll soon see why.

Where do you live and how long have you lived in your home?

We live in a new build home in Lancashire, not far from Manchester. It’s only been about two months since we moved in so we’re still getting settled and I’m ashamed to say there are still boxes to be unpacked!

What were the first impressions of your home?

I fell in love as soon as I saw it. I didn’t think I would ever like a new build let alone live in one, but this one captured me straight away. It looks like a house a child would draw! The kitchen and the size of the bedrooms were huge pluses for me and I could just see us living in it.

Have you had any major work done?

No, and we’re not planning on any yet really. There are a few little jobs, like putting a door into the side of the garage and getting built in shelving for the office and living rooms.

What is your favourite room in the house?

The kitchen for sure. It is such a light and gorgeous space with its white walls and cupboards, and my favourite – the white marble-look worktops. Honestly it’s just how I would have chosen to have it.

Is there anything that you would change about your home if you could?

Not really, I guess if you pushed me I’d say higher ceilings. We lived in an older property before and had my favourite Welsh Dresser there but it’s too tall for this house.

What is the next home project that we can look forward to seeing on your blog?

I’m working on a series about owning a new build and sharing the progress as we move through each room to change it from what is essentially a white box, to make it our own. I’m excited to get to work on the shared office and music room in Autumn.

I’ve followed Morgana’s blog for a couple of years now and both her old home and the current one have the same enviable freshness about them. I love that in every room you’ll find a pop of colour – yellow and pink seem to be firm favourites! If you want to keep up with her next home projects then you will find her blog here. You might also like to join me in stalking her on Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook too.

  • It all looks so lovely and clean! The white kitchen is beautiful. I’ve lived in a couple of new builds and they’re so easy to work with. Three and a half years on we’re still living with a pink ensuite with a toilet that won’t flush!
